Shower Timer

The average shower can use up to 200 liters of water. We often lose track of our time spent in the shower, leading to large amounts of water wasted everyday. We set out to provide a solution in order to conserve our most vital resource. The Shower Timer is a device designed to be placed in between the water input pipe and the shower head. When the shower is turned on, the conducting probes within the device sense the water flowing through and automatically start a customizable timer. When the time is up, the timer plays its internal buzzer signaling that it is time to turn off the water. The auto water sensing functionality combined with the flow rate specification of a shower faucet makes its possible to keep track of a shower’s water usage. This provides valuable insight that can be used to conserve water.
