Our metal detecting rover is the product of youthful treasure hunting spirit combined with efficiency-obsessed engineering. The idea came on a beach vacation after hours of aimlessly wandering with a traditional metal detector only to find a rusty old door hinge. Frustrated and regretting our wasted time, we began to wonder if there was a way that we could enjoy the beach while simultaneously searching for treasures.
